In our nourishing Rest Nest, we will deeply relax and unwind, recharging our inner battery as we explore the regenerative benefits of the fusion of Restorative Yoga with Yoga Nidra - a subtle, yet powerful, guided meditation journey. As well as facilitating deep, conscious rest, this combined journey invites us to come home to the true essence of ourselves... a resting in the space of the heart.
The Rest Nest provides relief from stress, tension and fatigue, promoting health and healing on all levels as we practise the art of being kind and gentle with ourselves. Beginning with Restorative Yoga – a conscious yet deep relaxation practice that provides healing for the body and the mind with a help of props - we are able to re-set the nervous system while deepening into practices which help us to accept support in the physical body, inviting a sense of balance and comfort through our whole being.
After unwinding body and the mind, we will settle into a luxury form of savasansa to receive a creative and heart-centred form of Yoga Nidra - an ancient yogic practice which translates as "conscious sleep”,with numerous therapeutic uses, such as supporting healing, relieving stress and enhancing creativity. Through guided deep rest in the sub-conscious space between dreaming and wakefulness, with the body asleep yet the mind alert, we can connect with our deepest nature and find peace, authenticity, and ease.
